Step-by-Step Build Instructions
- Build the frame: Cut 2ร2 lumber to create a rectangular frame: two 4ft pieces (length) and two 2ft pieces (width). Screw corners together with 2.5" screws. Add a center cross-brace for stability.
- Attach floor wire: Staple ยฝ" hardware cloth to the bottom of the frame. This mesh size prevents feet from getting caught while allowing droppings to fall through.
- Build walls: Attach 1" hardware cloth to all four sides. Fold edges over the frame and secure with staples every 2 inches.
- Create the door: Cut a 10"ร8" opening on one long side. Build a matching door frame from scrap wood. Attach with hinges at the top and a latch at the bottom.

- Install feeders and waterers: Mount external feeders through the wire to prevent contamination. Attach nipple drinkers to the back wall.

Tiered/Battery System Construction
