Step-by-Step Build Instructions

  1. Build the frame: Cut 2ร—2 lumber to create a rectangular frame: two 4ft pieces (length) and two 2ft pieces (width). Screw corners together with 2.5" screws. Add a center cross-brace for stability.
  2. Attach floor wire: Staple ยฝ" hardware cloth to the bottom of the frame. This mesh size prevents feet from getting caught while allowing droppings to fall through.
  3. Build walls: Attach 1" hardware cloth to all four sides. Fold edges over the frame and secure with staples every 2 inches.
